The Saint Paullinators were busy this past month. Our contractor, Sacred Spaces, installed 5 boulevard gardens and 3 bee lawns in the South Como Demonstration Neighborhood. These installations included plants grown by our Seedling Stewards to fill out each of the gardens and also help with costs associated with the installation. Our site hosts have been dutifully watering and caring for the gardens and we’re so thankful for their commitment.
We have also had neighbors watering and caring for the Orchard Rec Center garden, which is thriving and already attracting pollinators! We have hosted two Work Days at the Rec Center to stay on top of the thistle that is also loving our frequent watering. Thanks to all who participated in those days.
We will be celebrating the end of a wonderful planting season on October 2nd from 2-3:30pm with a South Como Garden Tour. The tour will be lead by Saint Paullinator members and will focus on planting for pollinators as well as how to care for pollinator habitats.
