The Como Community Council is the only neighborhood organization dedicated to connecting neighbors and improving life in Como Park, a place near and dear to all of our hearts. As Como neighbor Dawn Lamm puts it:
“I can think of nowhere else in the core cities where I can see swans gliding on our neighborhood lake and hear coyotes, wolves (at the zoo), and fox singing in the evening. There’s also a spirit of fun and sharing here too, where neighbors volunteer to pull leaves out of their gutters to mitigate pollutants in the lake, plant community pollinator gardens, envision a place where everyone can find a home from the most vulnerable to the most established, a neighborhood that celebrates everyone and redresses historical inequity. We look after the neighbor kids, pets and wildlife and those aging in place. Como is home.”
