Committee Purpose
The Environment Committee works to maintain, protect, and improve the environment of the District 10. This work has included instigating the creation of the Capitol Region Watershed District, initially to improve the water quality of Lake Como, assisting the St. Paul Parks and recreation department in Como Park and Como Lake Clean-Up events, including removing buckthorn within Como Park and creation and oversight of the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom. The committee acts as a liaison between the community, District 10, government and regulatory agencies, and private businesses to improve the environment.
