The Saint Paullinators will spend the next few weeks distributing the letter below to the neighbors of the Jameson/Front Lot (765 Front Ave). As a final piece of the Lawns to Legume Grant, we would like to install a pocket prairie on this site and will be providing opportunities for community input over the next month. We would love to hear from you at our Community Meeting on December 15th at 1pm (Front Hi-Rise Community Room).
D10 Community Organizer Jessica Willman, Emilie Snell-Rood, and Julia Brokaw updated the Environment Committee on the Sub-District 4 Lawns to Legumes Project regarding the lot at Front and Jameson on 12/7/22.
The Environment Committee works to maintain, protect, and improve the environment of the District 10. This work has included instigating the creation of the Capitol Region Watershed District, initially to improve the water quality of Lake Como, assisting the St. Paul Parks and recreation department in Como Park and Como Lake Clean-Up events, including removing buckthorn within Como Park and creation and oversight of the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom. The committee acts as a liaison between the community, District 10, government and regulatory agencies, and private businesses to improve the environment.
