District 10 Como Community Council

Land Use Committee

Monthly Meetings

Land Use Committee (3rd Tuesdays at 7pm)

The third Tuesday of every month typically hosts our Land Use committee and Board/Organizational topics for discussion and planning, as well as guest presentations related to those issues. Occasionally time sensitive Environment and Neighborhood Relations items are included on the agenda as well. These meetings are open to the public and are offered hybrid in-person at the Como Streetcar Station (1224 Lexington Parkway) as well as on zoom. Agendas are posted on our website homepage as well as shared in our Weekly Newsletter the Friday prior to the meeting.

As the title suggests, the Land Use committee handles the nitty-gritty issues of zoning, development proposals, and how they affect the neighborhood. Housing, transportation, relations with institutions, park use, licenses, and variance requests are among the topics these committee members deal with. Land Use also oversees ongoing efforts to address the impacts the and other large events have on the residential character of the neighborhood.
