Erin Dooley, Subdistrict 2

My name is Erin Dooley and I live in the "new" portion of District 10, south of Como Lake, with my husband and two sons, one of whom will be a senior this fall at Como Park Senior High. I am a teacher at Murray Middle School. I enjoy all of the elements of living in this beautiful area of the lovely city of St. Paul. As a member of the "newly acquired" section of District 10, I have a great interest in becoming a member of the Community Council. I took part in the ad-hoc subcommittee two years ago that planned the addition of my area to District 10, and would like to continue to represent my neighbors, now that I am eligible, on the larger council. In addition to this subcommittee, I have been a member of several other decision-making teams: Site Council, Leadership Team, and School Continuous Improvement Team at Murray Middle School, as well as being an officer on the board of Sandcastle Child Care in St. Paul. As a member of each of these groups, I strove for input from multiple stakeholders to enable me to represent a broad range of opinions to enable me to present many views. I believe that decision-making, at its best, represents a give and take for the benefit of all.
